Upgrading Corelix
If you're using Corelix Cloud, our team handles all updates so you don't need to worry about them.
For those who self-host Corelix, there are two components to upgrade:
- The base Coolify platform — follows Coolify's standard upgrade process
- The Corelix enhanced addon — upgraded by pulling the latest enhanced Docker image
Always back up your data before starting an upgrade.
Upgrading the Base Platform
1. Automatic Upgrade
Coolify can update itself automatically. This option keeps your instance always up-to-date without any extra effort.
Coolify periodically checks for updates. When a new version is available, it automatically fetches the latest release and starts the upgrade process.
You can disable auto-updates in your dashboard's Settings.
2. Semi-Automatic Upgrade
This option gives you more control. The platform notifies you when an update is available, and you decide when to apply it.
You will see an "Upgrade" button in the sidebar when a new version is available. Click it to start the update process.
3. Manual Upgrade
For full control, you can upgrade manually:
curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | bash
To upgrade to a specific version:
curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | bash -s 4.0.0-beta.400
Replace 4.0.0-beta.400 with the version number you want to upgrade to.
Upgrading the Corelix Addon
To update the Corelix enhanced addon to the latest version:
sudo bash install.sh --install-addon
This will pull the latest enhanced Docker image and restart the platform with the updated features.
The addon upgrade process preserves your existing configuration and database. Only the Docker image is replaced.
