Custom Docker Registry

If you would like to get platform images from dockerhub instead of the default ghcr.io, you can do it by setting the REGISTRY_URL environment variable.

Registry URL (REGISTRY_URL)

Valid values: docker.io & ghcr.io.

Automated Installation Method

env REGISTRY_URL=docker.io bash -c 'curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | bash'
info

The installation script must be run as root. If you're not logged in as root:

sudo -E env REGISTRY_URL=docker.io bash -c 'curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | bash'

Manual Installation Method

Edit the environment variables file:

nano /data/coolify/source/.env

Add:

REGISTRY_URL=docker.io

Switch After Installation

env REGISTRY_URL=docker.io bash -c 'curl -fsSL https://cdn.coollabs.io/coolify/install.sh | bash'
Corelix Enhanced

Corelix adds a Docker Registry Management feature (Pro) that provides centralized team-level management of multiple Docker registries. This goes beyond switching the platform's own image source — it lets you manage Docker Hub, GHCR, GitLab, ECR, Quay, Azure ACR, and custom registries with automatic credential syncing to your servers.

Features include:

  • Centralized credential management with encrypted storage
  • Automatic docker login on connected servers
  • Connection testing for all registry types
  • ECR token auto-refresh (12-hour expiry handled automatically)
  • Team-scoped registry management

Configure in Settings > Docker Registries (requires Pro tier).
