Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Corelix

What's the difference between Corelix and Coolify?

Corelix is built on top of Coolify and extends it with enterprise-grade features. The base Coolify platform provides the core deployment and server management capabilities. Corelix adds granular permissions, encrypted S3 backups, network management, enhanced database support (50+ additional images), additional build types (Railpack, Heroku, Paketo), cluster management, Docker registry management, MCP server for AI-powered infrastructure management, and more.

How do I enable enhanced features?

For Corelix Cloud users, all enhanced features are available based on your subscription tier — no configuration needed.

For self-hosted installations, enhanced features are enabled automatically when you install the Corelix addon. The addon sets CORELIX_PLATFORM=true in your environment, which activates all free-tier features. Pro features (cluster management, whitelabeling, Docker registry management) require additional configuration.

Is Corelix open source?

Yes. The community edition is fully open source at github.com/amirhmoradi/coolify-enhanced. It includes 12 free features. Pro features are available through Corelix Cloud or the Pro self-hosted edition.

Can I use Corelix alongside an existing Coolify installation?

Yes. The Corelix addon installs on top of an existing Coolify installation using a Docker Compose override file. Your existing Coolify configuration, deployments, and data remain intact.

Platform

The platform is not updating to the newest version.

When a new version is released, it doesn't immediately become available for your instance. The base Coolify platform has its own release cycle. Read more about Coolify's Release Cycle on GitHub.

Server

Permission denied (publickey).

Error

Server is not reachable. Reason: [email protected]: Permission denied (publickey).

Your instance cannot reach the server it is running on. During installation, a public key is generated to /data/coolify/ssh/keys/[email protected] and automatically added to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys.

If it is not added, you can add it manually:

cat /data/coolify/ssh/keys/[email protected] >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

Custom SSH Port

If you would like to use a custom SSH port, you can set it in the Server tab of your server.

Increase Concurrent Builds

If you would like to increase the number of concurrent builds, you can set it in the Server tab of your server.

Cloudflare

Configured but application is not reachable.

You need to set your SSL/TLS configuration to at least Full in your Cloudflare dashboard.

Documentation: https://developers.cloudflare.com/ssl/origin-configuration/ssl-modes/full/

Too many redirections.

You need to set your SSL/TLS configuration to at least Full in your Cloudflare dashboard.

Applications

How to map a port to the server?

If you want to map a port to the host system (server), you need to use the Ports Mappings feature.

SSL & HTTPS

How do I enable HTTPS/SSL for my application?

HTTPS is automatically enabled when you enter a domain using the https:// protocol. The platform automatically configures your reverse proxy and requests SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt. No additional setup is needed.

Do SSL certificates renew automatically?

Yes. SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt are automatically renewed before they expire. Let's Encrypt certificates are valid for 90 days, and renewals are handled seamlessly in the background.
